What the state says the job is
This is paraprofessional HR work. An employee in this job participates in the administration of HR programs by analyzing HR information to take or recommend appropriate action. Work is performed independently and is reviewed upon completion for accuracy and adherence to program policies. • Employee Relations: Work involves evaluating supporting documents for probationary period extensions, obtaining union concurrence, and preparing notification correspondence; reviewing employee internet, email, and corporate card usage to identify inappropriate use and to recommend appropriate action; and identifying and researching employee arrest reports and providing findings and recommendations for action.
Minimum qualifications
• One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth title); or • One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
