Performs duties in the review of plumbing plans and specifications to assure compliance with the state plumbing code; and performs other duties as required.
Examples of the work
Reviews plumbing plans and specifications to assure compliance with the state plumbing laws, regulations, and codes. Approves, disapproves, and comments on plans and specifications. Provides interpretation and advice on plumbing laws, regulations, and codes and plans to plumbing inspectors, architects, engineers, and the general public. Provides advice to and seeks advice from state agencies in reviewing and processing of plumbing plans. Maintains storage of plans and specifications. UNIQUE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Any unique physical requirements necessary to perform the duties of a specific position will be listed on the individual position description, if applicable.
Minimum qualifications
EDUCATION: NONE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience as a Plumbing Inspector I or Plumbing Inspector II. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
