What the state says the job is
Performs technical physical therapy procedures and activities; and performs other duties as required. (This class must work under the direction of a licensed physical therapist).
Examples of the work
Works with clients with disabilities and assists in patient care including physical therapy procedures in hydrotherapy, therapeutic exercises, and habilitation procedures. Observes, records, and reports to supervisor patients' conditions, progress, and behavior. Contributes to the evaluation process by gathering data, administering structured tests, and reporting observations. Provides instruction in the LifeSkills program, Health Awareness Group, and Physical Activities Groups. Monitors consumer progress to ensure they are performing therapy correctly.
