What the state says the job is
Provides direct supervision to Plumbing Inspection Plan Reviewers and provides technical advice to professional designers (architects and engineers), Master Plumbing contractors, building owners, and other state agencies; and performs other duties as required.
Examples of the work
Coordinates the work of Plumbing Plan Reviewers. Conducts fair and honest performance evaluations of all Plumbing Inspection Plan Reviewers. Substitutes for Plumbing Inspection Plan Reviewers during his or her absence. Develops and administers training to all Plumbing Plan Reviewers to ensure consistent and accurate plan reviews are being performed throughout the state. Consults with architects and engineers, plumbing contractors, builders, health department personnel, and other state agencies. Provides consultative advice on the proper design and installation of all plumbing systems. Reviews plans of plumbing in all public buildings, food handling and food manufacturing establishments.
Minimum qualifications
EDUCATION: NONE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Plumbing Inspector II or Plumbing Plan Reviewer. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
Special requirements
