This is managerial professional accounting work in the field of corporation taxes. An employee in this class directs, through subordinate supervisors or managers, the activities of the Division that is engaged in the planning, developing, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the corporation tax program. Work involves coordinating the activities of the Division to ensure it is working toward the attainment of goals and objectives and resolving conflicts within the Division. Work involves interpreting assignments, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures for employees. Work includes determining work flow, evaluating employee work performance, preparing and signing employees' performance evaluation reports.
Examples of the work
Directs, through subordinate supervisors and managers, the activities of a corporation tax program. Develops procedures to improve in the analysis of Corporation Tax Reports and determines how such procedures should be implemented. Plans and organizes work, determines work priority, sets goals, and reviews work performance. Evaluates employee work performance, and prepares and signs employee Performance Evaluation Reports. Reviews and signs employee Performance Evaluation Reports as Reviewing Officer. Receives grievances and complaints, conducts initial investigation into causes and conditions, discusses grievances and complaints with employee, and resolves or recommends solutions to them.
