What the state says the job is
This is responsible professional educational work of full journeyperson scope in the planning, development, improvement and evaluation of basic education programs throughout the Commonwealth. An employee in this class is responsible for performing responsible educational advisory and program review services in establishing, improving or expanding pre-elementary, elementary and/or secondary educational and educationally related programs. Work involves the conduct of educational projects to evaluate new or innovative techniques or to utilize the latest in research findings and theories in the areas of basic education.
Examples of the work
Plans and conducts a variety of educational projects, studies, and programs related to specific areas in basic education throughout the Commonwealth. Conducts the evaluation program for either Federally funded projects, vocational-technical schools, elementary, middle and/or secondary schools in districts throughout the state. Reviews and recommends for approval proposals for Federally funded projects for elementary, middle and secondary schools within assigned regions or in specific programs.
Minimum qualifications
Four years of professional experience in the field of education; or Any equivalent combination of experience.
