Coordinates, organizes, and conducts recreational activities within a recreation program; and performs other duties as required.
Examples of the work
Coordinates, organizes, conducts, and assists in recreational activities for residents in a long-term care facility or students at a summer camp. Engages residents in life-enriching activities and assists the residents with doing those activities as needed. Performs clerical duties for the activities department such as logging activity participation information into patient charts. Plans activities for the residents. Coordinates with Institutional Recreation Leaders for group activities such as dances, games, parties, and external events. Must gather items needed for activities such as bingo cards, party decorations, music, movies, popcorn, craft items, etc.
