What the state says the job is
Manages and oversees field operations in the administration of a statewide plumbing inspection program; and performs other duties as required.
Examples of the work
Supervises region supervisors and support staff of field branch. Evaluates region supervisors and support staff of field branch. Assists in the supervision and direction of all plumbing inspectors statewide. Investigates violations of the plumbing law and regulations. Checks weekly reports of region supervisors as well as the number of plumbing construction permits issued. Assists in the examination of applicants for certificates of registration as master and journeyman plumbers. Coordinates the modular building program. Oversees the collection and deposit of fees as specified in the state plumbing law.
Minimum qualifications
EDUCATION: NONE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have a minimum of four years' experience, or a combination of experience to total 4 years, as a Plumbing Inspector I, Plumbing Inspector II, Plumbing Plan Reviewer, Plumbing Inspector Field Inspection Supervisor, or Plumbing Plan Reviewer Supervisor. Special requirements
