What the state says the job is
Supervises a swimming area at a state park facility OR supervises a swimming area for a state agency; and performs other duties as required.
Examples of the work
Supervises lifeguards, concession stand and bath house personnel. Prepares work schedules for lifeguards and other personnel to assure an adequate staff of personnel. Maintains the general appearance of the swimming and bath house area. Maintains order. Keeps routine records and makes simple reports. UNIQUE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Incumbent must be able to lift, climb, crawl, walk, run, stand and sit for long periods.

Special requirements
Must hold current certification as a lifeguard from the Y.M.C.A., the Starfish Aquatic Institute (StarGuard) or hold an Emergency Water Safety certificate or other current certification which demonstrates life saving skills from the American Red Cross.
