Supervises the preparation and serving of meals in a state institution, facility, or hospital; and performs other duties as required.
Examples of the work
Supervises employees involved in the preparation and serving of meals. Responsible for the sanitation of the food service area. Plans and prepares daily menus. Trains employees and evaluates the performance of their work. Receives and stores food. Reviews and maintains routine records such as food inventory, food deliveries, resale, financial receipts, time and attendance reports, work sheets, etc. Applies and enforces departmental rules, regulations and policies relative to food preparation. UNIQUE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work typically involves some lifting. May risk burns and cuts.
Minimum qualifications
