What the state says the job is
Performs general labor tasks associated with the operation of a vehicle ferryboat; and performs other duties as required.
Examples of the work
At the direction of the ferryboat operator, connects or disconnects ferryboat restraining chain from shore and guard chain across entry. Maintains cleanliness of ferryboat. Washes mud and debris from approach ramps. Performs light maintenance to include; adding fuel, checking oil levels, greasing joints, etc. Operates ferryboat under direction of Master. UNIQUE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is physically demanding and requires bending and stooping.
